# Apple’s new App Store rules target AI nudify apps

Apple updated its App Review Guidelines.

Apple updated its App Review Guidelines. Section 1.2 now names nonconsensual intimate imagery explicitly, aimed at apps that pass review as harmless photo tools and then generate fake nude images of real people. A new rule, 2.5.19, bans hidden or dormant features that switch on after an app is approved.

**Why it matters to you:** AI-made fake nude images are a growing harm, especially for teenagers, and app store rules are one of the fastest ways to cut off how these apps spread.
